Alexey Tikhomirov was born in Kazan. In 1998 he graduated from Kazan Musical College as conductor and choir master. In 2006 graduated from N. G. Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory, conducting and chorus faculties. In 2001 Alexey Tikhomirov became a scholar of Feodor Chaliapin Fund.

Soloist of "Helikon-opera" since 2005.

In 2006 Alexey Tikhomirov graduated from Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Singing Centre, where he performed leading parts in such operas like Rimsky-Korsakov’s “The Tsar’s Bride” (as Sobakin), Verdi’s “Rigoletto” (as Count Monterone), Erenberg’s “Vampuka” (as Strafokamil) and many others.

In 2006 he became a laureate of the 1st Prize of the I International Contest of Opera Artists of Galina Vishnevskaya.

In July 2006 he participated in production Verdi’s "Rigoletto" as Sparafucile in Busseto (Italy). The part of Rigoletto was performed by Leo Nucci, conductor Massimiliano Caldi.

.In 2007 in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall of the Moscow Philarmonic Society with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow he performed Maluta Skuratov in Rimsky-Korsakov's "The Tsar's Bride". Conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev.

In 2007 at the First Republican contest, organised by the Ministry of culture of Republic of Tatarstan and Chaliapin Palace Hotel, he received a grant and a title of "The best young bass of Republic of Tatarstan".

Tours: Russia, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Israel, SAR, China, South Korea, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan.
